Athletes control cloud conflicts as they and the environmental terrorist group Olanch confront the corrupt Shinra Mega Corporation and Legendary Soldier Secrets. Dacidia finale combines real-time action with other strategic elements in the gameplay.
The remake was announced following years of rumors and requests from fans. Key members of the crew returned, including the character designer Tessuya Nomura as the director and the lead character designer, Yoshinori Katsis as the producer, and the author Kawasijo Nojima. They also incorporated content and redesigned the characters to balance realism and stylization.
